'Injectables' is used as a collective term for treatments with products that are inserted into the skin with a needle. Think of fillers and temporary muscle relaxants. Injectables are often known as treatments to remove and reduce wrinkle (such as frown lines, nose wrinkles and crow's feet) or to fill and plump lips. However, injectables are also suitable for counteracting, among other things, excessive sweating, migraine and visible gums when laughing (gummy smile).

botox

Botox (a brand name for Botulinum toxin) is a protein produced by 'Clostridium Botulinum', a bacterium. Botulinum Toxin ensures in a natural and safe way that muscles and sweat glands can temporarily not be controlled by nerves. By means of botulinum toxin, the functioning of muscles and sweat glands decreases or comes to a complete standstill. After a few months, the transmission of signals fully recovers. Botox is not only used for wrinkle treatments, but also against migraines, excessive sweating and teeth grinding. dr. Decates works exclusively with Allergan's Botox brand.

fillers

Fillers is a term used for liquid fillers for the purpose of filling passive wrinkles and folds. Think of nose and lip folds, marionette lines, but also, for example, against bags under the eyes.

In addition, fillers are also used to improve facial contours, such as the jawline, chin, lips and nose. Fillers are money based on hyaluronic acid, a substance that is injected by the body. The fillers are inserted under the skin with a thin needle and retain up to 30% more moisture. The filler is slowly broken down by the body and lasts on average up to +/- 12 months. dr. Decates works exclusively with the Juvederm brand.
